Please note down the Ingredients
- 1 Cup Maida
- 2 tbsp sooji
- 2tbsp ghee or oil for dough
- 1 teaspoon Ajwain (carrom seeds)
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Kasoori methi
- Salt as per taste
- Oil for frying
- Water as required for kneading the dough
Process
- Mix all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl
- Add kasoori methi by rubbing between the palms
- Add 2 tbsp oil or ghee in the flour and mix well
- Add water gradually to knead a stiff dough
- Keep the dough aside for 20-30 minutes by brushing little oil on it
- Make small balls and flatten it using rolling pin (Chakla belan) to a medium thickness
- Cut into diamond shapes using knife, i also used star shaped cutter to star shaped namak para for my baby
- Heat the oil for frying
- Put the cut pieces in the hot oil then make the gas medium and keep frying till perfect golden brown color
- Remove from oil on a kitchen towel to soak extra oil
- Enjoy once cooled down, with hot cup of tea or coffee ☕
- You can keep it in a airtight container and store for up-to 15-20 days
