Egg Salad Sandwich recipe

Eggs are very rich source of nutrients, Proteins, Vitamins, Biotin, Iron etc. It is suggested to add it to your diet daily or every alternate day atleast. There are hundreds of recipes you can make with eggs. I would like to share a rather simple one which doesn't require much cooking and can be prepared in 15 minutes.


Let's have a look at the recipe 

Ingredients (For 2 sandwiches) 

  • 4 slices of bread of your choice (I used Jumbo Sandwich bread here) 
  • 4 boiled egg 
  • 1 finely chopped onion 
  • 1 grated carrot 
  • 1/4th Capsicum finely chopped 
  • 2 tablespoons lite mayonnaise (preferred) or 2 Table spoons fresh cream 
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli flakes 
  • Pepper powder as per taste 
  • Salt as per taste 
  • 1 teaspoon Sichuan (Shezwan) sauce or Red chilli garlic sauce
  • Butter or ghee to toast the bread

Procedure 

  • Boil the eggs 
  • Cut the eggs in half and remove the yolk 
  • Put the yolk in a mixing bowl
  • Add all spices and sauces and vegetables and mix well
  • Once the mixture is ready put the same between the egg slices 

  • You can also add slices of cheese, tomatoes and lettuce leaves as add ons, i did not. 
  • Now toast the sandwich 🥪 in a toaster or you can use Tawa (Pan) like me. 
  • Use Ghee or butter for toasting 
  • And serve hot with Tea 🍵 , Juice 🥤 or Coffee ☕
